5/8/2013 - BREAKING NEWS:  The jury has reached a verdict!  GUILTY of first-degree murder!  For more details, please visit the above page.

5/23/2013 - Penalty phase:  The jury could not agree on a verdict of life or death.  Therefore, the jury is hung.  What's next?  The penalty phase of the trial will be retried.  That means that a new jury will be called into service.  During the retrial of the penalty phase, the evidence is going to have to be presented again so the new jury can get up to speed with this case.  However, the new jury has to agree and accept the verdict of guilty.  They also will have to accept that the manner of death was CRUEL!  They will only be deciding whether Jodi Arias should get death or life.  A hearing is set for June 20, 2013.  The retrial is expected to begin July 18, 2013.  The trial may or may not be held at the same venue.  No doubt, these issues will be addressed during the hearing.  This is not over yet!  Jodi Arias could still get the death penalty.

7/16/2013 - Check out this article regarding Jodi Arias' appearance in court today.  The hearing was not televised as first thought.  The retrial may begin sometime in September.  It's not set in stone, however.

3/5/2015 - Verdict: Hung jury/automatic life.

4/13/2015 - Judge Sherry Stephens to decide life without parole or life with release after 25 years served.  It's highly likely that Jodi Arias will get life without parole.  As I understand it, Arizona does not have a parole board.  She would have to be granted clemency from the governor.

4/13/2015 - Sentence: Life without the possibility of parole.
