Ohio vs. Ariel Castro

As most of you know by now, Ariel Castro kidnapped three girls and held them captive for 10 years in his Cleveland, Ohio home.  He repeatedly assaulted and rapped them.  For more information on this case, click here.

Note: There was no trial.  There was a sentencing hearing, which included testimony of various witnesses, victim impact statements and the sentencing.  Ariel Castro received life without the possibility of parole plus 1,000 years (the minimum).  The sentencing hearing took place sometime in 2013.  While in prison for a short time, he committed suicide by hanging himself in his prison cell.
